This notice describes the information we collect, to whom we disclose it and how we protect it. The safety of your personal information is important to Sutter employees, agents and their staff. “We” and “our” mean Sutter Insurance Company. “You” and “your” mean resent and former policyholders.

1. We Collect the Information Required to Provide Service to You

We may collect personal information such as:

• your name

• address

• Social Security number

• driving history

• credit history

• similar information on family members if they are covered under your policy

If you are injured, we may collect medical information about your injury, health history and treatment.

2. We Disclose Information Only as Allowed by Law

We may disclose all the information that we collect about you. Only our employees, agents and their staff have access to your personal file. We do so only as authorized by you or as permitted or required by law. When we hire an insurance support company to provide business services, we require them to protect your personal information as well. We may disclose your information to the following firms:

• insurance support organizations

• insurance regulators and rating bureaus

• law enforcement agencies and fraud units

• attorneys and others that handle claims

• insurers, reinsurers and reinsurance brokers

• in response to a subpoena or court order

Information we get from an insurance support organization may be retained by them and shared with another insurance company in the future.
